Sometimes Fitness Makes Us Forget

The summer is looming ever-nearer, which means that the idea of fitness and healthy eating is weighing heavily on the back of our minds. We're going to start thinking what things we should start putting into our diet to help burn off some pounds but, more importantly, what we should start taking out.

VitaminsSometimes we end up taking too much out, though - and we remove certain things in our diet at the expense of our overall health. Our sights are set on looking good in the next few months, but we disregard how our eating decisions are going to impact or health down the road.

This article from RealFrisco details four essential things - fiber, zinc, omega-3 fatty acids, and folate - that we need to start introducing into our bodies to ensure our health as we age. These things can be found in different foods, but can also be in the form of multivitamins, making it super easy to include them in our daily routine.

The focus of the article is prioritizing your overall health over rigorous fitness routines. Of course it's great to look thin and be able to exercise for hours, but we aren't always going to be as active as we are now, and need to be start making some decisions about how we will take care of our future selves.
